Every badge
Badges mark the milestones: a first picture, a full Messier list, a picture that held the Top 10 for a month. They are earned the way points are — nothing on your own pictures, a confirmed email to earn — and they stay once earned.
The first time you do something worth remembering.
Only a few members can ever hold these.
What your pictures earn from everyone else.
The sky you have covered.
What you give other members.
Coming back, night after night. Earned on your best run ever, so a broken streak keeps them.
Belonging to the groups where members share their pictures, and starting one.
Shares are of confirmed members with at least one published picture, comment or forum post. They are recounted every hour.
